From Wednesday, October 23rd to Friday, October 25th, ECOO (Educational Computing Organization of Ontario), in partnership with OASBO (Ontario Association of School Business Officials) will hold a conference for educators to learn about and discuss computer technology in the classroom. It is called “Bring IT Together” and will be held at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, Ontario, a beautiful venue located close to the Falls. This is the 34th year of the Conference, and includes hands-on workshops and exhibits, an expanded exhibition hall, and presentations from various educators experienced in the use of digital and web-based technologies in the classroom.
The three day event begins with a workshop day where teachers can take part in the hands-on learning of their choosing. Some of the sessions include workshops by Minds on Media, and The Google Spot, delivered by LearnStyle. This conference offers educators a great opportunity to participate in self-directed professional development.
With 221 speakers, there is an array of topics to choose from. There are also a variety of social events planned, including a morning run in order to bring some additional fun and excitement to the conference.
