Connect 2013 – Canada’s Learning and Technology Conference

An exciting event is scheduled for May 6th and 7th, 2013 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, at the Scotiabank Convention Centre. “Connect 2013 – Canada’s Learning and Technology Conference” is the first national conference of its’ kind here in Canada. It will provide Canadian Educators, Administrators, Technology Specialists, and Industry Leaders a chance to gather together in order to discuss 21st century education, and strategies for its’ implementation in the Canadian educational landscape. Participants will discuss how educators and businesses or industry leaders can work together to support students by cultivating 21st century skills.  Partnering sponsors of this conference include, The District School Board of Niagara, Brock University’s Faculty of Education and Mindshare Learning.

This conference builds on previous local Connect events. “CONNECT 2013 will support educators in their quest to enrich student learning through emerging technologies. It will allow teachers and school boards to network with their colleagues as well as share best practices and research proven strategies that will foster mobile personal learning environments for all students,” says Dino Miele, Chief Information Officer at DSBN.

Connect 2013 features presentations, hands-on workshops, interactive seminars and engaging poster sessions as well as a 27,000 square foot Exhibitor Showcase displaying all of the latest in technology and classroom software solutions.
